hi grandma

A shared calendar for the time your family spends with Grandma

Who’s visiting Grandma this week?

hi grandma lets a family plan their time with Grandma and Grandpa on one calendar. Check-ups, stories from the days together and the little things you’d like to do for her all live in the same place.

Get started

All you need is a Kakao account. It opens right in your phone’s browser — nothing to install. The app itself is in Korean for now.

The family calendar. Each day shows who is visiting, and below it a check-up where the family is still deciding who goes along.

Group chats lose track

“Who’s going this weekend?” gets three different answers, and the hospital date sinks under a hundred messages. Two people turn up on the same day, and the day you meant to go slips by.

hi grandma turns that thread into a single calendar. When everyone can see who’s going when, nobody has to ask.

01Calendar

Tap a day, and the whole family sees you’re going

Tap a date to see who’s already going. Tap “I’ll go” and your name goes on that day. Quiet days and busy ones are easy to spot.

A day opened from the calendar. Seoyeon is going for lunch, with an “I’ll go too” button below.

02Doctor’s visits

Decide together who takes her to her check-up

Add the appointment, and whoever is going taps “I’ll take her”. You can share the date with the family KakaoTalk chat in one tap.

A doctor’s day opened from the calendar. The family is still deciding who goes with Grandma to her eye check-up, with “I’ll take her” and “Tell the family chat” buttons below.

03Stories

Share the day you spent with Grandma

What you ate together, how she was feeling, a few words and photos. Grandchildren who live far away still feel close to her day.

The stories screen. A post saying Grandma was at ease, with two photos of a tea table and a vase of flowers.

04For Grandma

So “she does love that tea” doesn’t slip through

Seasonal fruit, her favourite tea, fresh flowers for the living room. Post something you’d like to do for her and someone says “I’ll do it”. You can see who took it and when it’s done.

The list of things to do for Grandma. Youngsoo is finding a softer living-room lamp, the box of seasonal fruit has no one yet, and the cashmere cardigan has been given.

05Grandma’s info

Everything about Grandma, in one place

Her address, contacts, regular clinics, when she takes her medicine and what she enjoys. The whole family sees the same page, and so do her caregivers.

Grandma’s info. Her address, an emergency contact, notes for the family and her regular clinics.

Screens are shown in Korean, the language the app speaks today. Names and details are made up.
